My pond-hopping took me to a 3- to 4-acre lake nestled between a popular park lake and a residential community. It is shielded from public view on both sides by a ridge, and, even though I have seen discarded bait cups along the bank, I have never seen another angler there.

We fished new blade baits on Erie’s fall smallmouth: Sebile Vibrato, Nories Jaka Blade, Ecogear VX blades, and Johnson ThinFisher as well as the SIlver Buddy. Dobson dubbed the Vibrato and Jaka Blades “Cadillacs of the blade clan.”
