Lake Eufaula and Lake Seminole tag team in first annual Nories Frogfest!

The payout is fabulous. The baits are great…and the fishing will be fun!

It’s the first annual Nories Frogfest, a “frogs-only” fishing tournament that will take place on back-to-back Saturdays at Lake Eufaula (Lakepointe State Park, Eufaula, Alabama) on August 17 and Lake Seminole (Big Jim’s Resort, Donalsonville, Georgia) on August 24.

Over $27,000 in cash payout is guaranteed, no matter the number of entries, with awards ranging from $160 to $5,000 to the 50 highest placing one-day totals.

Fish one day on one lake or sign up to fish both. (Note: The entry fee is $160 for each tournament day.) Teams fishing both weekends have a chance at winning two of the top 50 payout prizes.

In addition, a separate $20 side fee each tournament day offers a shot at Big Bass Side Pot awards (1st Place – $1,000; 2nd Place – $600; 3rd Place – $400).

All competitors are required to fish either a Nories NF60 Frog or the Nories Ebigaeru, a popping frog-style bait. Owned by Marukyu, Nories lures are designed by Norio Tanabe, called the “Father of bass fishing in Japan.” Nories frogs are available at three outdoor retail shops in the Southeast — Sportsman’s Outfitters (Dothan, AL), Lakepointe Marina (Eufaula, AL), or West Side Bait & Tackle (Bainbridge, GA; phone order 229/400-1848). Nories frogs are also available on the Land Big Fish website (www.landbigfish.com), and Lee’s Global Tackle  (www.leesglobaltackle.com).

Frogfest will award an additional $1,500 to the highest finishing team using an RPM Frog Rod. (See Frogfest ad for details.) RPM Custom Rods is a premier sponsor for Frogfest.

Nories Frogfest director Wes Meadows believes tournament competitors will be fishing the Nories NF 60 frog in many different ways, particularly on Lake Seminole, the second of two Frogfest events.

Enter soon! The field will be limited to 100 teams at Lake Eufaula (if full by 8-15-13) and 100 teams at Lake Seminole (if full by 8-22-13).

Hours will be from safe light to 3 P.M. Eastern time at Lake Seminole and safe light to 3.P.M. Central time on Lake Eufaula.
